Another child’s right activist, though not as worldly known, is Zhan Haite. She's from Shanghai and ever since the government declared her unfit for school because of some background history she didn’t have, she has been working day and night on this project. She became the youngest person to fight for such rights. Her parents did not meet the governments requirements and the fact that she had two siblings, a brother and a sister, did not help as this meant that Zhan Haite's family violated the one-child policy in Shanghai. She's determined to spread her cause as she taught herself high school courses to show schools that no matter what they did to stop her and other un-schooled kids around the world, they would not be able to. In six months, Zhan Haite went from a regular student to an opponent of Shanghai's hukou policy. Online, this is one of the many great things written about her on her blog page, "A young citizen, a warrior for freedom, on the vanguard for democracy."
